Dear Fellow Students,

Updates to Students from the College Management

A warm welcome to new students for joining the College, and greetings to other Gratians who return to the campus after the summer break!

College activity of the new academic year commenced with the Orientation Day and Orientation Camp organized for new students.  We hope the programme induction and meeting with key persons of the staff team have helped you learn more about Gratia and adapt with ease to college life.

Experience told us that knowing your position and mastering the right tools are pivotal to effective learning.  During study at the College, all students are advised to monitor their progress of study from the student portal.  Check out your study plan to ensure that your efforts are on the right track and to make the necessary adjustments at an appropriate time.  You should also familiarize yourself with Moodle and master the skills you need to study.  Contact the Registry and ITSO for support if in need.

As a member of the College community, particularly as a freshman, don’t hesitate to seek help and advice when encountering problems in your study or personal life.  Your course lecturer, mentor, programme director, and school head will provide you the guidance and share their wisdom with you.  You may also seek counselling services and assistance from a new counsellor who has recently been on board.

You may wish to note that the College has launched the slogan “College for Serving” to promulgate the vision of the College of nurturing servant leaders with CHRIST values.  Apart from academic study, service learning through engagement in community service and in-house service is equally valued as part of the educational experience at Gratia.

The first semester is the time for the commencement of a new academic year and the graduation of another cohort.  Colleagues are now busily preparing for the Graduation Ceremony scheduled for 11 November 2023, Saturday.  While looking forward to the big day of the graduates, we also await to witness current students making continuous progress and having an enjoyable and fruitful year ahead.

With best wishes,

College Management
