Dear Fellow Students,
Updates to Students from the College Management
With grateful thanks, most of the courses of the 2022/23 academic year have been smoothly completed. Academic results of the 2nd semester were released last month, and some of you have started enjoying the summer break. For those who are still focusing on your study for the 3rd semester and/or working hard on the practicum / internship / honours projects, we hope you could keep on making good progress, and find the efforts you have made rewarding.
The eight College Assemblies scheduled for the academic year have also come to a close. In the March Assembly, we were grateful to have invited Prof Patrick T K Nip, GBS, JP, as the guest speaker to deliver a talk on Resilience. In the April one, the sharing sessions on Life Education were hosted by the tutors and students from the School of Business and School of Education and Psychology. This last Assembly of the academic year also featured a performance by the Black Band, a student band of the College.
To enhance the capacity of teaching facilities, further renovation work was carried out in the campus building. You probably would have noticed that there are now two big classrooms on the 2nd floor. Each of the renovated classrooms can house 60 students, suitably for use in mass lectures.
Meanwhile, Schools and Offices of the College have been busily preparing for the next academic year. Various promotion activities and publicity work have been rolled out for student recruitment. On-going tasks also include programme administration work and staffing arrangements for the new academic year.
We would also like to share the news with you that the College has already commenced the preparation for the Graduation Ceremony for the coming cohort of graduates. The date is set for the Saturday afternoon on 11 November 2023. Further updates on the event will be provided when we have finalised the arrangements.
With best wishes,
College Management
