Dear Students and Members of the College,
This serves to inform you that a fraudulent email, titled "Notification of Possible Misuse of School Email Account (For Verification Only)," was received. The email pertains to a suspicious online transaction involving a student who attempted to purchase concert tickets through a fraudulent application, "KKTIX," using the College-assigned email address.
Please be advised that no payment was made, and no financial loss was incurred. However, it is believed that the perpetrator employed this scheme as a phishing attempt to extract information by targeting publicly available email addresses within the College’s domain.
The affected student will be advised to file a report with the Hong Kong Police. Given the likelihood that the scammer may target other College email addresses, all staff and students are strongly advised to observe the following precautions:
- Do not reply to any suspicious emails of a similar nature. Exercise particular caution with emails originating from the sender "shuk king tam" <kingvv88@yahoo.com.hk>, though other email addresses may also be used for such fraudulent purposes. Remain vigilant at all times.
- Block the Hong Kong phone number 92903462, which has been identified as being used in connection with this fraudulent activity.
- Use your College-assigned email address exclusively for official College-related correspondence. This account serves as the sole official means of communication and should not be utilized for any other purposes.

現謹此通知，本院接獲一封可疑電郵，標題為「Notification of Possible Misuse of School Email Account (For Verification Only)」（有關可能濫用學校電郵帳戶之通知（僅供核實））。該電郵涉及一名學生透過虛假應用程式「KKTIX」嘗試購買演唱會門票，並使用本院指派的電郵帳戶完成相關交易。
請注意，有關交易並未完成付款，亦無任何金錢損失。惟相信騙徒藉此試圖透過發送電郵至本院網域之公開電郵地址，以獲取敏感資料。
受影響的學生將獲建議向香港警務處舉報。鑑於騙徒可能以相同手法向本院其他電郵帳戶下手，現強烈建議全體教職員及學生注意以下事項：

請勿回覆任何類似內容的可疑電郵。 尤其需提防來自「shuk king tam」kingvv88@yahoo.com.hk 的電郵，惟騙徒亦可能使用其他電郵地址進行詐騙，務必時刻保持警覺。
