Dear Students,
Do you like art? There is a chance to widen your horizon. For details, please read below:

M+ is now recruiting participants for Creative Day Camp 2023, targeting university students and recent graduates (No prior knowledge of arts and visual studies is required)We would be grateful if you could spread the words to those who would be interested in participating in this unique experience to explore their creative ideas with artists.  

Creative Day Camp invites young people to experiment with the infinite possibilities of creativity. Over four days, participants will work closely with artist instructors to reflect on the essence of artistic creations, explore different ways of expressions through various mediums and gain insight into how the themes of the Camps are relevant to our daily lives. Their creative process and works from the Camp will be showcased to the public in M+ in mid-August.

Target participantaged 18–24 (No prior knowledge of arts and visual studies is required) 

Date of the Camp: 8 to 11 August 2023 (Tue – Fri)

Creative Day Camp: The Community Photographer  

Join documentary photographer Xyza Cruz Bacani on a journey from the museum to the neighbourhood, and share your observations of the community groups through photography.   

 

Xyza will guide the participants through different exercises on documentary photography, discovering people around us that were often overlooked. Participants will discover the unique stories of ordinary people and let their voices be heard through photography.   

 

Language: English, supplemented with Cantonese 

 

Creative Day Camp: The Nature Observer 

Join artist Lo Lai Lai, Natalie to discover nature in urban life and express your unique observations through multi-disciplinary creations. 

Lai Lai will guide the participants to leave preconceptions towards nature and try to feel, observe and even predict its changes. Through a series of activities that encourage you to explore various ways and forms in which nature exists in the city, participants are guided to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature.
